I’m saddened that UK nationals are responding and supporting this oppression. Have they lost all values in a aim to be virtuous. Why do they accept oppression and abuse if it’s from another culture?

Children are taught to be confident and express themselves. Are we now saying they should cover up and be quiet?
-
It would appear so. You know what temptresses these year 1 schoolgirls are...

Denying sunlight to these children by wearing this form of religious and inappropriate clothing equals rickets. Rickets doesn’t do political correctness because rickets doesn’t discriminate against or dictate who gets it.
-
It would be interesting to see the results of any research into young girls with rickets; what nationality/religion compared to same nationality/religion of boys?

I might be worth reading the M and S statement on this Romesh. They are stocking these as a number of school partners have asked them too. For those kids in those schools, these may well be compulsory. If you think that is right, you’re not right.

I have no problem with women wearing whatever they feel comfortable wearing, but I do think that it's outrageous that little girls should be sexualized in this way.

In these days of gender equality and neutrality, I’m surprised there is no campaign for hijabs for boys. Think about it. Perhaps the Oxbridge colleges should start a petition.
-
Or maybe just no hijabs, nijabs or any other jab for everyone? All children free from prejudice and segregation, to play and learn without inhibition and each to reach their potential to become an adult human being of equal value

I am sickened by the levels of ignorance and racism being spouted by lots of people. I worked for many years in a school in a Muslim community and the children are not being forced. Many girls wear the hijab as a matter of choice to express their religious faith.
