Marks & Spencer sells school uniform hijabs for girls as young as 6. This is an abomination. This is extremist Islamism and NOT a Koranic requirement for young Muslim girls at primary school. No, no, no, no... NO!https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/uknews/7473581/marks-and-spencer-hijab-school-uniform-girls-sale/ …

What doesn't help is being a patronising dogwhistle artist. Just because the 5Ks are grounded in scripture and the headscarf is a cultural rendition doesn't give the latter any less credence within its specific community, or make it less acceptable to don at a young age.
-
Excuse my ignorance if I am wrong but aren't the 5 K's Sikh which is why they call it The Ku'ran instead of the Qu'ran?
-
Ku’ran and Qu’ran are both just different spellings of the same Islamic holy text. Sikhs follow the Guru Granth Sahib; a totally different text.
-
Thanks. Needed the clarification. However, the 5 K's are Sikh aren't they? Kirpan etc.... I am sure I went through that at School.
-
Yes. Kara, Kirpan, Kesh, kanga and kachera. Only worn by choice and if the Sikh is part of the Khalsa (been baptised).

You’re pound shop
@KTHopkins She’s the foetid shit you scrape off your shoe. You’re the skid mark a colleague left in the communal bog. No consideration for others but easily scrubbed off (whilst gagging). -
You definitely need following hahaha! What a brilliant use of words x

Shame none of them have Twitter apparently. Or exist. Posting knee-jerk, badly rationalised, xenophobic hate in order to gain popularity with mouth breathers incapable of critical thinking. Nothing like Hopkins. Get a good accountant.

Suggest you read the tweets from
@MaajidNawaz instead of putting up your own poorly thought out knee-jerk posts. -
He’s no cleric. I don’t think he is even Muslim either.
-
I wasn’t holding him out to be a cleric. He does however eloquently explain the problems he believes come from children wearing a hijab. A better contribution to the debate than resorting to the name calling here.
-
I’ve met Sikhs who have been uncomfortable wearing the turban and keeping long hair from an early age because of their family’s faith. Where’s Julia’s outrage about that? By the way, I’ve been to school with 7 year olds wearing the niqab. I’ve never had a problem with it.
