I was made to take part in prayers and sing hymns when I was a child and I have no interest in religion. Adults teach their children the things they believe in. If you ban this then you must be prepared to ban turbans, kippah and the wearing of crucifixes.

No, those aren’t the same at all - and they aren’t worn for the same reasons either
-
The only real difference is the gender that wears them. And the religion,of course. Where is your outrage over little Sikh boys forced to have their hair tied in a bun and covered?
-
No, those items are symbols of religious faith. The hijab is not a requirement of Islam and certainly not for little girls. Do try to know something about a topic before tweeting. It helps.
-
I'm sure all the clerics come to you for guidance. Don't go the Katie Hopkins route. It doesn't end well.
-
There are plenty of Islamic scholars who will agree with me. I’m not remotely going down a Hopkins route.
-
That's what Katie Hopkins thought too, look what happened to her.
-
Sounds very Katie Hopkins to me!

Good grief. It's not extremist Islamism, it's not an abomination, it's a hijab. What are you so scared of?
-
No requirement in the Koran. And the Hadith only says pubescent girls should wear the head scarf to show modesty to men. Why then should a 6 year old girl wear one? This is a dangerous political ideology.
-
Just because they’re being sold, doesn’t mean they HAVE to wear one. Young girls usually start wearing when they come of age. I taught 2 grade 2 classes in Bahrain. Almost no kids in the entire school wore them. Go educate yourself before spouting shite. You’re the extremist here
-
Er, you actually made my point for me. I know exactly what I’m talking about, thanks.
-
Of course you do. I’m sure you’ve spent lots of time with an open mind living amongst the people you do regularly attack. I haven’t made your point for you at all. If you knew anything about the Middle East, you’d know that part of the culture varies massively country to country.
-
Good grief. It’s because I know WHY those garments are worn that I object to them - especially for little girls. Maybe you need to do a bit more research, mate.
-
Mad idea this. So stay with me on it. Maybe don’t buy one.

Why does is bother you what someone else is wearing? There's no rule which says nuns must wear habits but you don't seem to have a problem with that
-
Nuns aren’t 6 year old girls, are they?
-
What are you worried will happen?
