I love my family. Dont believe I could accept an invitation to a gay wedding from them though. I would see it as a bereavement further losing ties with someone not a celebration, not gaining someone. My loss, wish I could feel differently but all I can do is stay away not change
-
That is indeed your loss. Two people who love each other getting married is a good thing. Doesn’t really matter what genitals they have.
-
When its not family I dont care. When it is family I do care deeply Genitals do influence reproduction.
-
What if they straight but don't want kids. Or gay but adopt helping a kid who was born but not wanted thru straight people have a loving life

Surely all shops/businesses have the right to refuse custom. This whole case is a Joke.. like the couple who owned the B&B, they should have the right to refuse.
-
The right to refuse maybe unpleasant to some, but it’s a fundamental right...

Like this? I’m not sure who’s right, but I’m sure it’s not that simple.pic.twitter.com/G7O5rs88xY

B&B couple claimed to be against unmarried couples but the court believed there was evidence that they refused service on the basis of a protected characteristic (sexuality). Ashers case was about the political slogan, not the characteristic of the customer. Apples and Oranges
-
No it wasn’t - it was ALL about the sexuality of the person ordering the cake.
-
The court found that that wasn't the case

I always buy my mum a nice big jam and cream filled doughnut every week - because mums are special and deserve sweet treats

The only winners out of this were the solicitors who bought and defended the case.
-
No. The real winners were Daniel and Amy McArthur. Gareth Lee wasn't just a 'customer' in off the street. He is an ACTIVIST who targeted this couple.

So don't shop there. It's a matter for the markets not the law.
-
Tell that to the slaves in the 19th century.

Just making the point that markets alone won’t protect people by stating that you should vote with your feet. The slave example was me just citing the most extreme of this.
