So, all of my staff then vote 'for a four day week'... At best I will need more staff, although higher costs means paying less corporation tax. At worst, escalating costs will be unsustainable and we will all end up on benefit street...... Has this really been thought through?

Why bother working at all. Why not stand for a policy of unemployment for all along with a living wage for the unemployed. The cost to me borne by debt which is paid by future generations.

Surprised Rebecca Long-Bailey hasn't jumped on-board. She loves a bit of virtue signalling and giving away free stuff. Time yet I suppose. She's busy at the moment tilting at windmills and advocating electric cars for everyone.

At one time even if I disliked a politician of whatever party I used to think they seemed intelligent and had gravitas , not now - most seemed very ill informed imo .

The NUM strikes reduced UK to a 3 day week in the 1970s I remember having no heating in our house and parents using a frying pan over a paraffin stove.

And helped precipitate the demise of the mining industry. Scargill did quite well out of it though didn't he. NUM funded flat in London and a generous pension for life. Motor Mouth Lavery is another one who did very well off the backs of the miners. For the Few not the Many!
