You’ve said some hateful things in your time but this is possibly your worst yet. The OiC explained that they were not equipped for, or experienced in, combating a catastrophic high rise cladding fire. She could not in good conscience add a score of firefighter deaths to toll.https://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/1045372176873009152 …

Extraordinary. The fire chief in charge of fighting the Grenfell inferno says she wouldn't change the fire brigade’s response - despite the fact that the deadly cladding meant that the standard “Stay Put” policy needlessly cost dozens of lives that night. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-45666960# …

Hope you’ve tweeted that to all the family members of those who died because the FB’s tickbox culture meant they were left to die. Oh, and to the fire safety experts who gave evidence & agreed the policy should have been overturned on the night.

Or if they have reflected long and hard, had nightmares and sleepless night haunted by what they have encountered in the line of their duty and concluded that yes, despite the horror of it, they did what they had to do. It is not for you, I or Brewer to comment on that.

Tick boxers love their boxes, regulations, procedures, dictacts and red tape. Funny how it should be overturned at the drop of a hat when real world events take place outside the comfort of their offices.

Tick boxers hamper people from doing their job effectively 365 days a year, except on the day where they want to send fire crews to their potential deaths because of the decisions made by another tick boxer. The absolute nerve of them.

Have you tweeted the family members to explain why you are exploiting their grief to publicise yourself and your radio programme?

Worked in North Sea oil production and well remember the Piper Alpha disaster. Many died because they followed the procedures that were laid down. Turned out those procedures were wrong and different guidelines were later introduced. You learn when it goes wrong.

The reason why procedures are followed in fires is because most of the time they are found to have got the best results. Grenfell was an exception but the rule still stands. You appear to advocate a maverick approach. This of course would lead to many more deaths.
