There are 13 weeks of the year when headteachers could march on Downing Street without missing a school day. But they chose today. I wonder how big *their* term-time holiday fine will be...https://twitter.com/itvnews/status/1045586771776614400 …

I think its the whole point of the strike,
Julia wouldn't get that. She's not too bright
Oh it's outrageous. How bloody dare they ?! Head teachers marching to protest on a school day ?! Those Trotskyites. No doubt they all support Corbyn. It's too much. #Headlines
I am a Conservative(no ties to education) and find no problem with their protest.
There not striking. There protesting.
Parliament is in recess for the entire summer holidays... Maybe they think having a day off to ask MPs for help is a good use of time. Obviously you both know better than them how to run a school...
Which you've completely failed to address?
Because people like you draw attention to it in some hysterical manner. It means their legitimate concerns get air time.
Because they wanted someone to be in when they got there?pic.twitter.com/60sggYT2C3
I asked them. They said it’s for our children
. Which is bizarre because my (admittedly clever) ten yr old gets used as a classroom assistant most days. Yesterday asked to *help* a girl with maths that was crying. This March prob won’t help that. Better management would though!
I wonder if they're using a clever young lady as a resource to stretch and challenge her and help embed her own learning?
She is a He and that may be the case. However from his own mouth cane the words ‘Its the second year I’ve been doing this and I would rather learn new things myself Mum.’ So I hope you can see his frustration because it bloody difficult to answer him positively lately
I wonder how many have charged their own school expenses accounts for the trips too ... ?
If school policy allows that, why not? Or maybe you've never made an expenses claim ...
Will they be holding onto a rope in a crocodile line or marching two by two holding each others hands?
Can we also fine them for loss of business that this March will cause?
Not working is surely a breach of their contract of employment? Or is it a 1-day 'strike'? I have some sympathy for their cause, but the taxpayers are paying their wages & they're not doing their job today. March on a Saturday you buggers or does that eat into your leisure time?
