I wasn't aware of any evidence beyond the circumstantial, before the results of the investigation were released. In general it is best not to rush to judgement before all the facts are in, so JC's approach was reasonable.
-
It also demonstrates how rubbish the Russians are. I understood that assassination involved getting in unnoticed, successfully performing the deed, and getting out without anyone being any the wiser. Russia was pretty crap at this.
-
Absolutely. The spectacular incompetance of the whole thing made me initially suspicious of the Russia theory, and worried that BJ may have been over zealous. But the evidence is piling up now, hence JC's change of tack. If the evidence changes, ones position changes (or should).
-
The evidence never changed. Corbyn had to change when his tacit defence of Russia became unsustainable. When the PM made her statement in the Commons, he could not even bring himself to agree with her that this attack was the action of the Russian state.
-
The evidence I was aware of certainly changed. All the details about the circumstances around the two suspects, hotel room tests etc. didn't come out until very recently. Are you saying Corbyn was privy to more info than the rest of us?
-
Yes. He received a security briefing because he is a privy councillor
-
OK, well Corbyn was clearly not persuaded by the initial briefing, but has since changed his mind - presumably in the light of more evidence. Since (I assume) none of us received that briefing, we're in no position to say either way.
-
On that basis Corbyn is guilty of exceptionally poor judgement, clouded thinking, dogmatic bias, or a combination thereof. None of these are a good trait in leadership.

Well spotted. This allows him to explain his original cynicism, but it is a tad unpatriotic of him all the same:https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/corbyn-the-great-patriot-of-russia/ …
