It’s outrageous. I like the idea of chocolate cake. And I have to pay for the privilege of eating it. It’s not given away for free to anyone who wants it. Funny that, eh? Come the revolution, of course, everything will be free to everyone.* *Read the small print.https://twitter.com/paulmasonnews/status/1043780229725114368 …

The worst part of this is, for families that are just above the line to get in work benefits already struggle to get by while at the same time are supporting those just below them...this will get way worse and more will end up dropping below that line.

The problem with socialists is that they only like spending everybody else's money and never their own - this is why the Guardian sells 10% of the copy that the Daily Mail does. Always happy for taxes to be raised.. as they don't pay them.

The trouble with capitalists is they think they have a right to income based on other people's labour and want to pay them as little as possible to maximise their profits Look I can generalise too

I don't want other people's money - I just want to keep most of my own which I work day and night for (I'm self employed). I don't have a plantation, cotton or slaves.

I said it was a generalisation You would like roads to drive on, schools, police, bin collections, care for disabled people etc etc It is only fair that those with the most contribute the most. I work my arse off in social care and would like enough money to do my job properly

God help us if Labour win a general election. Businesses will leave the UK and set up overseas. This will damage the economy. When will Labour understand that wealth creates flows down and creates jobs not the unions.

In a society where some make billions selling things poor people need, leaving them unable to afford such luxuries as cake, there could be space for improvement.
