Er, with respect isn't that exactly what we did in 2017?

Yes we do if they have completely misled the voters and got Enid Blyton to write the manifesto I couldn’t name one person who’d buy a second hand car off any of them
-
And also if electoral offences had been committed. It would be unsafe. It is unsafe

No they haven’t. Overturned last week

Nor do negative opinion polls for the sitting government/Parliamentary majority justify a new election two years into a five year term.
-
If they have a very slim majority and therefore a hung parliament, don’t be surprised if you have another general election. We could have our third in four years in the autumn.
-
Or they could just give another morally corrupt group of politicians (no shortage there) another £1bn to side with the current Government (when it suits obvs, no pressure) and save themselves some embarrassment...though not negative headlines

If Brexit were Her Majesty’s Government, it would have lost a confidence vote long ago, triggering another general election.

We don’t vote for general elections 3 years before the result will be implemented though. Imagine voting for next PM now to be put in power in 2021, and ignoring everything that happens in between.

Agreed. The democratic result must be played out. If 40+ years down the line the next generation want a re-run then fair enough. But the vote and democracy must stand.

But you knew which PM and manifesto you voted for... Can the same be said for the current Brexit deal. Knowing that would people vote the same way? I doubt it.

Not entirely accurate there, Julia. PM getting his/her feet under the No. 10 dining room table depends on carrying a majority of votes through the HoC. Looks increasingly likely TM will struggle to achieve that if she carries on with the Chequer’s Deal. Then she’s in real trouble
