Blow as hard as you like JH-B, a #PeoplesVote is on its way

Yeah, good luck with that...

A.....nd there it is, another remainer showing everyone why we voted leave. I hate to tell you guys but a second referendum, even if MPs were mad enough to do so, would be too late. It’d take a least a year to get passed parliament. Get used to it, and move on with your lives.
-
A year you say. And the point is??? The minority think they have the right to force the majority to accept the biggest act of self harm ever inflicted on a country by its own citizen?? Why?? If it takes 2 years to back away from this mess so be it. Its what the majority want.
-
Minority... I will give you credit that you’re not stupid, just being disingenuous. 17.4 million, a clear ‘majority’, voted leave. We had numerous polls showing remain ahead, all were wrong. You’re also forgetting leaving is now law. No government is reversing that.
-
That figure was 23/06/16. Every single poll since September last year has the majority not wanting Brexit. If parliament reject Brexit it is not going anywhere. We make our laws. It's the sovereignty we never lost that allows it.
-
Hyperbole, not every single poll, and only a couple had a decent majority for remain. The executive brings forward legislation not MPs, & a humble address doesn’t create new laws. No government is overturning brexit. Get over it. What might happen though, is the ubiquitous BRINO.

Ahh the default position for any labour mp when the going gets hard, start talking about the NHS, I'm waiting for someone to say Nye Bevan would have been a remainer.
-
Bevan, Churchill, Attlee.........yup. All remainers.
-
did any of them three ever try and overturn a democratic vote because they lost?
-
There was never a vote like that in their time that I am aware of. A vote interfered with by a malign foreign power. A vote overwhelmed by lies and cheating. An advisory poll (as set out in its own setting up paperwork) which somehow became the 11th Commandment. ....
-
...a vote so loosely worded as to be meaningless. Plus, as leaders of character and intellect they would not have held a referendum and damage the nation for the sake of party manoeuvring and career gain. They would have assessed the facts and dismissed Leaving the EU as folly.
-
unfortunately we had cameron and he let the country vote, my question is would they overturn a free democratic vote dont want a history lesson just your opinion
-
Hi, I'm sure George can speak for himself, but I suspect (and in answer to your queztion) I suspect they would ask you how the vote could be described as 'free and democratic' if it was built on a campaign of lies and misinformation. Have a good evening.

WW3? The UK's economic output is amongst the lowest in the G20. Our currency has been devalued, 3-day week for a major car maker, Unilever wanting a partial exit to Holland, what else needs to happen for Leave to be seen as negative? Or, give me 1 key economic benefit of exiting.

He's a disgrace to democracy and the British political system. Just because he doesn't like it doesn't mean it's not going to happen. Democracy and freedom of speech are cruel mistresses but they must be adhered to so we don't become another state controlled dictatorship
-
You realise that it’s democracy that allows an MP to express this opinion.... he’s currently the perfect example of a working democracy
. Democracy and a voting system are two different things, but often mistaken as being the same... -
No one is saying he shouldn't *have* an *opinion*. His pushing for an overturning of a vote that *he* doesn't like is not democratic. You can dress it up as much as you like, but it's not.
