Democracy didn't end in 2016. That wasn't a final say; it was a vote on the idea of leaving. Now we know the details of the deal and the ramifications of leaving, we're entitled to say whether it's what we were promised and whether we still want it. Do keep up.

Hmm... that's funny, the day before the referendum
@saqidkhan said it *was* the final say:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1pV_RPLA2I&feature=youtu.be&t=5m42s … -
The nature of the whole referendum was corrupt, inept & unclear. 52/48 is not decisive. Vote Leave broke electoral law. Nobody voted for stockpiles of food & medicine. More important than Leave or Remain, the
#PeoplesVote is about restoring faith in British democratic process. -
No, calls for a second referendum are a transparent attempt to try to overturn the result before the people's decision is implemented.
#LosersVote -
It's not a 2nd ref; it's a final say - now we know the details of the deal and what leaving would mean. Democracy didn't end in 2016, I'm afraid.
#PeoplesVote -
Democracy would end (or at least be in danger) if the result of a vote is overturned before it is implemented ...and playing with words doesn't change what you're proposing.
#LosersVote In any case, Corbyn and May are both against it... not going to happen.
-
'Democracy would end if we exercised more democracy...'
#BrexiterLogic Mmkay. Have a good one!#smdh#PeoplesVote -
We should keep on voting, over and over again, and we should keep ignoring the result until we agree with <checks card> some bloke called Lee.

Remain’s patronising logic is no one knew what they were voting for with a simple leave or remain. So they want another referendum with an immensely more complicated decision required but this time voters will know what they are voting for?The logic is flawed. Not going to happen.
-
Don’t you want say on the final deal ( or no deal)?
-
You don't understand how decisions are made. If you decide to buy a car, you say I'm going to buy a car you then go to the showroom and take whatever make, model, and colour you are given and pay the price you are told. You don't change your mind because you don't like the terms.
-
You do if you find out the car has been missold to you on lies. Care to give me a benefit for Brexit?
-
People will be able to spot sarcasm ?
-
It’s getting harder don’t you think?
-
Yep ....too many real political opinions come across exactly like parodies.

There’s no such thing as a ‘final’ say in a democracy. Brexiters lied to us by promising something that cannot be delivered. Accordingly, we are free to revise our decision, which is what the People’s Vote is about. So, Sadiq is absolutely right.
-
Er,
@SadiqKhan said it was a final say the day before the referendum!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1pV_RPLA2I&feature=youtu.be&t=5m42s … -
So? In a democracy you can change your mind as often as you want - in the light of new evidence or changed reality.
-
In a democracy you implement the result of a vote.
-
There's nothing to implement, nobody voted for no-deal Brexit.
#peoplesvote -
In a democracy, we elect people to act in our interests. Leave won, congratulations. But implementing would be economically damaging. Thus, acting in our interests means not ignoring the evidence post 2016 & asking us again. And how can asking people to vote be anti-democratic ?
-
If Leaving will be economically beneficial would you say we should get on and implement the result?
-
I’d happily accept that if there was any credible evidence. There isn’t. Hence my view that people now know more and should have their chance to vote on the most important issue we’ll face in our generation.
