          My excellent history teacher @tillers2214 memorably refused to listen to anything we said after the point at which we said the word “like”. Very successful tactic. (Like.)

          .... and, like, not spending all day on Twitter, like, or, like, constantly checking their email, like! ....... and why, oh why, do they have to start almost every sentence with the word, “So, ..... “ Why aren’t schools insisting that pupils speak and write correct English?
