Yes, because in a free market we’ll all happily return to paying roaming charges and absolutely won’t all flock to any of the phone companies that offer to keep our calls surcharge free when we’re away on holiday. Of *course* we will... *sighs*https://twitter.com/BethRigby/status/1040216270120148992 …

NEW: No-deal roaming charges. Govt confirms my story that surcharge-free roaming "cannot be guaranteed" in the event of a no-deal Brexit. Govt also (as I reported) says it will legislate to apply limits if necessary. Notes some operators "no current plans" to change approach pic.twitter.com/9jenO7DBRb

We won’t be part of a trade group in massive debt We won’t be part of a group totally reliant on Russia for gas We won’t be part of a group that accepts animal cruelty And Luke it will directly save you the money you would lose on a deposit standing at an election 😘

Everybody is part of a trade group, every country has some form of a trade group with other nations. We are also in debt, we can't pay it back if we have less. Accepts animal cruelty, how so? We both know there is no money to be saved!

Well it is good to engage in a civil and productive discussion. Indeed. Reasonably well regulated sector so I do question the extent to which the free market fit is applicable here. I believe Three UK had this policy for some time whilst the other operators didn’t historically

Desperate stuff from @BethRigby . Why does she waste her energy reporting things that either won't happen or are very unlikely to happen?? And roaming charges are hardly a big deal whatever happens to them! 👎🏼

The EU did not bring about the end of roaming charges. When the companies were about to dispense with charges by reducing them to zero, the EU prevented it for some time. When EU lifted their ban they falsely portrayed the end of charges as being brought about by themselves.
