She has blond tips that looked nothing the flowing blond locks depicted in the cartoon. She also has quite dark skin which was depicted fair in the cartoon. It's almost like Williams' histrionics have dominated the event to the extent that readers don't even know who Osaka is...
-
she wasn't the focus - tantrum throwing Serena was.
-
That’s true but why is Osaka europeanised in looks.
-
She has bleached streaks in RL and she's not Europeanised. She's quite plain for obvious reasons. It would distract from the purpose of the cartoon. If you want to nitpick the colour, you'd have to admit that Serena is also very pale.
-
She's not Europeanised? She's definitely been whitewashed of her Haitian heritage!
-
Look at Serena's whitewash. This cartoon isn't about colour. Don't you think it's interesting that this cartoon shows up after a tantrum? It's about an appalling display of behaviour, not her race. You people really need to develop a sense of humour.
-
I think the cartoon's funny and I don't find it offensive. My view is that if people wanted to screech "Racism" the depiction of Serena isn't the problem.
