If Serena truly believed in equality she’d be demanding the women play five sets like men, instead of three 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've just seen Serena Williams calling somebody a thief when he clearly isn't. Is this something @syptweet will be investigating?

It doesn't set a very good example ... if you're losing then just scream the house down as its sexist & racist. Don't they know who you are? And you've got a daughter as well for goodness sake!

This is the deal, she broke the rules. She smashed her racquet and spoke to the umpire like he was a piece of shit. Those who know tennis will know plenty of male players have been docked points or even handed a default for unsporting behaviour. Just another self entitled diva.

Serena is an amazing athlete and probably the GOATbut that does not give her a free pass. it doesn't give her the right to challenge a referee like that, to tell him he will not work again, to play the sex card on what evidence (?) or to turn someone else's victory into her drama

I think the most important thing here is that she revealed how lovely she is.

And perhaps in 2009 she wouldn't have said to a female line judge: "I swear to God I'll fucking take the ball and shove it down your fucking throat."

Imagine if a male player had demanded an apology from a female umpire, and had told her “you’ll never umpire any game I’m involved with again”. That player would be crucified by the feminists.

I assume everyone on this thread has been truly OUTRAGED over the years at all the disgusting behaviour of male tennis players who have sworn, screamed, hysterically broken rackets and even (Andy Murray) kicked tennis balls at umpires and never had a single point docked

I have seen no examples of comparable abuse from a man going unpunished. Murray did not intend to (and did not) hit the umpire. What abuse has he levelled at an umpire and not been punished? Examples, please.

Naomi beat Serena fair and square. Serena is letting female sport down with her temper tantrum. She lost, don’t cry about it, be real sportswoman and accept defeat with grace, then move on.

When were women deemed to be no longer responsible for their own actions? When did equality become special license, and extra special if you're important and a very wealthy celebrity.
