How annoyed should you get when the guy next to you on the tube crosses his foot over his knee so the sole of his trainer is less than two inches away from your trousers? I asked a young guy to stop doing that today and he wouldn't have it, saying I needed to "be more chill"!

I think so. He did stop doing it but then kept up a barrage of "chill man" type wind-up comments. The thing is I ask firmly in order to prevent the more intense confrontation that would ensue should one of these blokes actually mark my trousers with the dust from under his shoes.
