I don’t really get why everyone is terrified of the prospect of nylon guns. Ridiculous.

You can buy 10 real guns for the price of one 3D printer.

But if they're plastic, surely they cannot fire real bullets? Wouldn't they melt (admittedly am no expert)?

I’ve always thought guns are made of gunmetal - to stop the barrel exploding. I can’t believe a plastic fun would work either.

What could go wrong? This, for a start. You're better off with a bit of pipe and a hammer, if a home-build gun is your fancy.pic.twitter.com/BoPCfVEJ23

🤔You can make a fully operation Sten Gun (Machine gun more accurate than an AK47) from a bit of pipe. I have a 3d printer, does this mean I'm going to have to apply for a licence? 😳

All you need is about $100,000 for a 3D printer and you can make as many plastic guns as you want. But if a criminal has $100,000 perhaps he might just, I don't know, buy a real gun?
