A Remainer doesn’t want a No Deal Brexit? What a shock!https://twitter.com/Peston/status/1030169206971682816 …

Fair enough, in your opinion what would constitute a good deal?
-
A free trade deal or low tariffs. And no EU interference on anything else.
-
That doesn't seem unreasonable.
-
Except that an FTA doesn't include services, which only accounts for about 80% of the UK's GDP. So no biggie really.
-
Which is why we (well TPTB) need to find a way to do a deal that includes services.
-
Well. There's 7 months to go, a government that's proven to be completely incompetent, and trying to do an FTA with services - how realistic are we being here?
-
Best get their fingers out then hadn't they?
-
Sure. But if you're a business dealing mainly in services, that's not very reassuring. With the time left.

So you're intensely relaxed about businesses going bust (the signs are already there) and people losing their jobs. What sort of person are you?
-
I voted remain but respect the vote was for a Brexit so we have to go down that route. A deal Brexit would give us all the stipulations of being in the eu without the benefits we enjoy now. I don’t think joe public understood the massiveness and all the implications of the vote.
-
Well then, why are you respecting the vote?
-
Because the majority voted for it. It’s democracy. Just because I believe they didnt know what they were voting for doesn’t mean it’s gospel. Many brexiters tell me they knew exactly what they were doing.
-
Why would you want to agree to any of this

These are projections. Remember Hilary was meant to outnumber trump by a huge majority. She didn’t. We can’t have a vote and then say “we don’t like the result”. If Brexit doesn’t happen what is the point in voting ever again? I don’t want it but don’t want a mockery of democracy
-
Don’t be daft. It was a perfectly constitutional vote. Just because you don’t like the outcome doesn’t invalidate it. I happen to believe that there shouldnt have been one and that our elected representatives should have gone to the country with a Leave or Remain mandate.

Of course YOU’RE intensely relaxed, most selfish, self interested, well off people are.
-
Ah like all those fat cats on the EU payroll? Until we announced we were leaving and overnight they morphed into rabid
#fbpe nutters -
No, I mean people like Julia, like Farage, like Banks, like Digby Jones, like Hoey, who have all managed to whip the gullible into a frenzy, safe in the knowledge they’ll all be absolutely fine
-
All the people little Jim is cross at because everyone didn’t vote the way he wanted them to.
-
Nice way to avoid the point.
