If supposedly sensible Conservative MPs, activists and commentators seriously believe it is acceptable for their senior politicians to describe BAME women as "letter boxes" and "bank robbers" then it's over. It really is all over.

Boris didn’t describe BAME women. He described the APPEARANCE of Muslim women in burkhas as looking like a letterbox or bank robber. Very different. It was about the garment, not the women. And not all Muslims are BAME.

A burka is worn by a Muslim woman, why seek to ban a costume worn by Muslims, would you seek to ban Sheitel wig worn by Orthodox Jewish married women? Of course you wouldn’t. Also if this was a comment made by the left you would be up in arms.

Do these items cover the full face??? Or just leaving the eyes in view?? If so then yes I personally think it should be banned

Hmmm let me think like a rational human being with common sense, answer= I’ve never seen a wedding veil that’s not see through, any that have been worn are placed over the face outside the church till the required time to Unveil the bride and it’s never used again. Anymore?

Your argument I feel is quite childish but that’s just my opinion, comparing a wedding veil with a niqab/burka is a very silly one, most women choose not to have a veil now, most things are acceptable but at certain times/events,I know a few Muslim women who wear Hijab/Chador 👍

My point is a simple one, let each individual decide what they want to wear.https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/muslim-women-explain-why-boris-johnsons-gendered-islamophobia-is-dangerous_uk_5b69bf3ee4b0fd5c73ddfce8 …
