Oh come on. HE is proud of HER for coping with childbirth so bravely and well. He wasn't, like, advocating it as a policy position. He was just saying, "My partner is frickin amazing." Congrats to them both.

No, he said he was specifically proud of her for not having pain relief
-
She made a decision, presumably, about how she wanted to handle her birth and she saw it through despite the pain. Why wouldn't he be proud?
-
What’s to be proud of?
-
Er... you can disagree with her decision to withstand the pain without denying that it is brave to do so.

Jules dear, (I hope you don’t mind my being so forward) I’m not quite sure why you did it but I bet poor Katherine in Chile is possibly totally mystified why her notifications just exploded!

Oh, do tell me about YOUR experience giving birth.

LOLOL!!! So preoccupied are you with being ‘right’ you don’t even notice when somebody has correctly and politely pointed out you were wrong. You’re journey to become a complete parody of a journalist is complete.

He's proud of his wife after giving birth. Why are you needlessly criticising him? It's just not necessary.

My wife has given birth twice & didn’t have pain relief for either labour for reasons beyond her control. I’m VERY proud of her for that BECAUSE it hurts. Maybe that’s what
@HKane meant. It takes nothing away from women who DO have pain relief whatsoever.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

The UK has the highest 'strap em up and anesthetize any feeling' rate, along with highest forceps usage, last minute cesareans etc. Sweeden has the lowest - and far healthier birth outcomes. If women lose all feeling, how can delivery work well? But what do you know?
