I've only time to make a quick start on this, but: genocide of native Americans, countless slavery deaths, Irish famine, failure of the 1930's, US capitalist funded Mussolini, 20th C. capitalist empire wars, oil wars in M.E. etc There's more. Remind me. I'll get back to this.

High tax burdens. Minimum wage. Social housing. Farm subsidies. Nationalised industries. Socialised medicine. Rent control. These are just typical social democrat stuff, when you get into collectivising farms and the abolishing of private property things really go south.
