When the Jacob Rees Mob say we’ll become a rule-taking vassal state, whose fault do they think THAT is, exactly?

Referenda are flawed as they are snapshots of opinions on long term issues. Parliamentary debate is the British long tested and best way as the evidence and arguments are complex and rarely resonates with popular views of individuals feelings in the moment.
#referendumchaos -
Yes, and that’s why parliament, in its infinite wisdom, decided to vote to hold a referendum and then voted to uphold the result of that referendum. Do try to keep up.
-
I beg to differ - Parliament decided to abdicate their constitutional role due to party dissent. I disagree in Referenda in principle as they are never a good way of deciding major issues and where other systems do use them they are almost always never a simple majority.

Historical UK turnout for EU elections had hovered around 30/35%. Where's this fervour & hate for the institution of the EU come from? We'd never been that interested as a nation. Odd that a bunch of media barons,Tory millionaires & failed gold miners can fool us all.
-
You’re quite wrong about election turn out figures. Those are for local elections only.
-
I'm not wrong Julia because I checked before I posted. https://www.statista.com/statistics/300460/eu-parliament-turnout-for-the-european-elections-uk-and-eu/ …

When we go in WTO, we will be sitting ducks; we will have v little negotiating position, the US or China will have us over a barrel due to our desperation for a quick trade deal! But JRM will be safe what with his offshore funds keeping him immune! Those elites eh...!?!

So if voters were gullible enough to believe the Vote Leave promises, targeted specifically for them through CA using stolen data and paid for with illegal funds, they need to suck up the consequences and start stocking up on medicines and food?

Do you blame the voters for also starting to ask questions of brexit now they can see the end game more clearly, or do you think they are too stupid to decide that they want to reconsider ?
