Well I know who I would follow the views of- a highly respected international football star and now very successful tvpresenter or someone who tries to make a name for herself by just being provocative and arrogant. Your choice. BTW it is by no means certain we are leaving...!https://twitter.com/juliahb1/status/1022014331762954240 …

Not really no. If you analyse what you have just said it smacks of arrogance yet again. He might indeed advertise crisps as well -but as we know advertisers go for people the public approve of and respect!
-
I stated some simple facts. Not arrogant at all. People can respect anyone they want. I respect Gary hugely as both a player and a TV presenter. His political analysis leaves a lot to be desired.

Journalists used to know what they are talking about. Nowadays not so. EU didn’t just happen to UK, we (through your elected MEPs & govt) elected those bureaucrats you berate. Ask your mate Nigel
-
You mean in the days before Farage JHB and Hopkins!!

The bloke who kicked a ball and sells crisps is dealing with reality you on the other hand are indulging a fantasy about your country and it's relationship with an essentially protective supra national body ( the EU)
-
“Essentially protective”. Lol.

Well said Julia, like most footballers Half a brain and good at rolling on the ground if they’ve broken a finger nail.

Oh dear another totally patronising and arrogant comment that adds nothing of value . How many languages are you fluent in? Do you have an exemplary record in the initial career that you had? Why can’t you Leavers ever come up with legitimate reasons not based on prejudice?
-
Your so far up your own backside, I bet you can see your tonsils.

But you're wrong on so many levels. The EU is a hugely democratic organisation, can you name any aspect of it that isn't? As for their threat, would you consider it a threat if your boss said he isn't paying you when you leave after you resign?
-
did you vote for the drunkard then?
-
Did you vote for Theresa May as PM? Which member of the Royal family did you vote for? Which member of the House of Lords did you vote for?
-
I voted tory knowing whichever party got the most seats its leader would be PM. I agree with Abolishing the House of Lords. And if I could vote the Royal Family in I would do. -However, as the Royal Family have to be neutral on politics in the UK what is your point
-
So the leader is appointed by the party. You don't actually vote on any aspect of her being put in that position and that she could be easily shifted out on a whim by people you never elected.
-
i also never elected Junker Verhofsat Tusk etc. they are appointed. if i join a political party, no thanks they all suck, i can vote for the leader of said party in most cases. PS Only voted for Liz Truss as i thought she was best for my area
-
But you have to pay for privilege to join a party and must abide by their rules. So that chucks any idea of democracy out the window.
-
All our parties suck big time. politics in the UK has descended into a juvenile state but then it took its queues from the EU
