Had the country united around the decision to Leave, we could have done so without angst and an excellent deal. There's still a chance of a reasonable deal, but May must be replaced by a Brexiteer. As for the 5th column: Let them do their worst, we will do our best (Churchill).

Yes John. All should have accepted the ref. Result and backed it. Again to quote Churchill when D day preparations were being argued, he said “Don’t argue the matter, the difficulties will argue for themselves.” We need his leadership now.

Every single brexit peddling person has either failed to provide a detailed plan as to what brexit looks like and how they'll get there, or has run away blaming everyone else. How about the people who peddled this catastrophe hold their hands up and admit they were wrong.

I voted to leave the EU because a Russian told me to - she came to the door one night showed me her Brexits and from that moment I was sold on Brexit.

Can any Brexiteer pushing the WTO option name one single country who trades solely on their rules? Should be a stock question to Paterson et al every time they suggest we will all be fine.

Yep. Some people were saying Mauritania was the one example a while back. Then it transpired that Mauritania was a member of a regional trading bloc. A bit like, er...https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-41859691 …

It drives me up the wall. Even the hardened eurosceptics during 90s, 00s never once spoke about leaving economic partnership etc. Was always about joining ETFA or similar. Johnny come latelys have pushed us to edge of sanity.

well we're cynical DPJ because most Leavers are both pragmatic and optimists - and most crucially because every previous projection/forecast of Brexit doom has failed to materialise

every single review predicts economic downturn after
#Brexit of whatever type. Hope you can sleep easy knowing you're planing harm to our country for no gain. -
And pretty much every single ‘review’ predicted that Hilary would win the presidency and remain would win against leave. Guess how they both turned out.
-
Do you seriously believe we'll be economically better off by leaving EU? Even arch deceiver JRM says it'll be 50 yrs before we can see benefits (while setting up not one but 2 Dublin based hedge fund centres to mitigate effects of leaving.)
-
‘Project Fear’ didn’t work and the sooner you realise that and stop trying to scare people into siding with you, the sooner you’ll stop constantly losing.
-
I'm a patriot. Will never stop fighting to help the country I used to love, so no.
-
Rather perverse way of helping the country you ‘used to love’ by spreading lies and fear-mongering
-
Harsh truths and facts,we lose out if we leave, simple. What is the
#brexit plan? Name me one single uncontestable gain? -
Control of our own borders? Control of our own laws? Freedom to trade with countries outside of the EU? I’m curious, if you’re so enamoured with living under the boot-heel of the collapsing EU, why not move to a country still in the EU?
