Discrimination against people based on race/ethnicity = racism. Recognising difference between people and appreciating it = not racism. Happy to clear that up for you Julia 🤦🏽‍♂️https://twitter.com/JuliaHB1/status/1019558334528188416 …

FFS. The England team didn’t “display diversity”. They’re just good football players. No one cares what colour their skin is. This obsession with “identity” and “diversity” is just a different kind of racism. https://twitter.com/britishfuture/status/1019525065912832000 …

Seeing people primarily through the prism of their skin colour rather than seeing them as individuals is another form of racism. You mean well but you’re still discriminating based on race when it just isn’t relevant.

          1) I'm not seeing them primarily via skin colour. I recognise they are FOOTBALLERS for ENGLAND. 2) Another example, recognising that someone is a woman is not sexist. However prejudice or discrimination BECAUSE she is a woman is sexist. This isn't difficult to understand.

LOL. Just because you keep repeating something does not make it true. People like you don't see colour until you start talking about immigration.

“People like you”. Interesting. Why not just say “you’re racist” and be honest? I couldn’t care less what skin colour immigrants have. I’m concerned about the scale of immigration and effect on public services and social cohesion.

you might not care what skin colour people have, but plenty others do, and almost every footballer has faced racism. What you're trying to do is deny their experiences and the prejudice they faced.

No, I’m not. And you know I’m not. Constantly talking about people’s skin colour when it’s totally irrelevant doesn’t help tackle racism.

Oh you definitely are. 1) I was writing in context of racism sports stars face & 2) In context of embracing identities (Britishness/Englishness) that were long assumed just for whites. That you're too ignorant & arrogant to even understand this speaks volumes about you.

Hilarious that acknowledging the racial diversity of the England football team is a ‘different kind of racism’. Only a spoilt white public school girl with a double barreled name who has never experienced racism or anti-semitism in their life could spout that horseshit.

Well said Julia. I keep saying as much, but people like Sunny are obsessed with racial differences which by definition makes them racist. I celebrate people for their individual qualities of being, not on their skin tone or ethnicity.
