That's why each member state , have elected MEPs. Does it not?

You must have that on repeat?
-
Well if
@JuliaHB1 hasn't got that on repeat - I certainly have. It's very apt for most of the pro EU people. At least it isn't rude.... -
No need to be, either.

You forget the fact that there is a provision to reject the rules, however it would incur total loss of pocket money and Baby Brother Ireland would be forced into purgatory

Id be happy with a no deal, it may cause havoc in the short term, but at least it would force us to act and actually go through with what the vote intended. To leave the EU!!!

Yes. All negotiations with the EU are Parent-Child, not Adult-Adult. Not acceptable.

Or better methaphore - your kid is now 18 and tells you, from tomorrow I dont follow your rules. I do whatever I want. BUT, I will still live at home, not contribute anything and EXPECT free meals and accommodation... This is the basis of the brexit lunacy
-
The problem with your metaphor is there are 21 others who live here and don't pay but get all the benefits.
-
So this is all down to saving 1% of the annulla budget? With the likely result of shrinking that budget a multiple of what you ‘save’?

Then why did you vote for brexit? In or out of the single market we will still have to follow these rules if we want to sell into Europe. Personally I would rather we had an hand in making the rules we have to follow.
-
"we" wouldn't. The 6% of businesses that export to the EU would, specifically for the exported product/service.
-
What about the companies which supply those companies? And the ones which supply them? Goes far deeper than you think.
-
"Goes far deeper than you think." No, it doesn't. I'm fully aware of what a supply chain is thanks. It doesn't change the issue.
-
You say 6% of companies export to the EU and only they would have to be compliant. Their entire supply chain will have to be too. That’s clearly far more than 6%. All with signify overheads of documenting dual compliance.
