Football may well be coming home but, from what I’m hearing, Brexit most definitely isn’t. Not really sure why anyone bothered asking us ordinary voters what we wanted if they were going to ignore it anyway.

Pre Ref - Hey Joe Public if you vote OUT the world will end & terrible things will happen but if you vote IN then it will all be okay. After Ref - Well we didn’t actually want to be OUT so we’ll just pretend to be out. They’ll never know the difference. 👀 #WTO+Respect needed

WTO? What about the GFA and Irish border? What about Airbus, JLR, BMW and all of the other jobs that'll go because of customs delays? What about open skies? What about Euratom? The government aren't going to shaft the country off the back of an advisory vote that was won by 4%

What about it? Business won’t leave & if they do others will take their place. Irish border is only a problem if the EU and Ireland make it a problem. The real issue with #brexit is that taking control is not going to be easy. It will be hard work but rewarding. #WTO & Respect

This is the sort of reasoning (if it can be called that) which sinks nations. Shows zero understanding of the issues. Anyone who thinks that the UK could prosper as the only nation in the world trading exclusively on WTO terms is deranged and/or stupid.

What are laughing about? Are you getting what you wanted? Because if it's trading on WTO terms, you belong to a tiny minority of Brexit cultists. The majority want to stay in the single market, which looks like where we'll end up.

I think that you should wake wake nearly everyone I know, did not want to stay in the SM, CU or anything else. They did want to join the EU in the beginning. We survived before joining we t afterward. So where the problem. It's people who are scared of the unknown.

Actually, before we joined the ‘Common Market’, the UK was in a mess. Our economy improved significantly after joining. A lot of Brexiters have conveniently forgotten that.

For the umpteenth time, NOBODY knew what they were voting for in 2016. How could we? We still don’t know what steps we’re gonna take. You can’t make an informed choice without knowing the options. Most flawed referendum in history.

All those years we had the Conservative party lecturing Labour because their plans weren't "costed". Then one day David Cameron woke up with the most uncosted and yet expensive plan in the nation's history.

The UK used the "you haven't costed it" argument against the #SNP in #indyref. Why did it apply then, but now we will pay literally *any price* in the name of "FREEDOM". Makes you wonder about #indyref2 as well.

They asked you if you wanted Brexit. No one on the Leave campaign had the authority or mandate to set out to set out a manifesto for Brexit. That was a job for government, Julia.pic.twitter.com/qhppQs7kOK

This shows it's not a good idea to demand something before you've even worked out whether it's possible to have it, let alone worked out how to do it and consulted the other people involved.

Yes indeed. It's good to have a dream. As long as it's achievable and realistic. Not a fairytale dream.
