Julia I know you don't know much about economics having only done PPE. But you do realise that Carney is not your friend?

Given the small print in the article I'm not sure how the BBC spun that as upbeat.

As we realised from #ProjectFear these folks have no idea about the future and have lost all credibility. What is it they say about bankers and “credit”?

None, more your view that Carney and the so called Project Fear have no idea. My point is who does really have an idea at the moment how this is going to turn out

In general economic terms no one can foresee what the consequences would be (or would have been at the point of voting) for either side leave or remain. Economic “forecasting” by public bodies is open to manipulation & also variability beyond modelling. True now as well imv.

Public bodies need to be steeped in dispassionate transparent analysis if they are to engage in forecasting or remain silent (purdah) during contentious political debate imv. Carney lost “credit” in my view & therefore begs question why he should be believed now or ever.

That’s where we differ. I’ve always held the opinion that while the MPs were headless chickens, Carney made plans. And it’s his job to forecast and no one can be right 100% when it comes to forecasting......but I’m a remainer so I would stand up for him wouldn’t I
