Especially as the nearer we've got to leaving, the more heinous the eu has shown itself to be - I had no idea when I voted leave that was this vile! I don't want to just leave now, i want to see it destroyed!

@Airbus you have 279 days to build an 85,000 square meter factory, install the machinery to build the wings of the A320, A400 & A380, build a road and sea network to transport them to Toulouse (A380 wings being to big for air transport) and train 6,500 people to do the work GO! - 1 more reply

They are international businesses who quite like to make money, do you think they will stay for good old blighty?

So tell Barnier his Airbus will have no wings. Then we'll make the bodies and have our own Airbus. Simples.

The inimitable thickness of Brexit. It’s all “simples”.

Funny that no one seems to be mentioning the $22b the EU gave airbus in subsidies.
-
Or the £1.9billion in tax to HMRC.....
-
The amount they put into hmrc also has no bearing on their decision to leave or not. That figure of course is a reason it would be bad for them if they were to leave. So it's a silly argument based on scare tactics.
-
Their reasoning is that they'll lose eu legislation on wing manufacture, leaving the EU and the legislation doesn't mean building wings differently. The real reason is they won't get their subsidies, or they want uk subsidies as the EU ones were illegal.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/business-44120525?__twitter_impression=true …

When cognitive dissonance sets in, make something up. Here’s a Brexit aircraft design:pic.twitter.com/eirIyydRMX

Sorry, what's made up exactly? The loss of legislation from the EU and the effect it has on the supply chain is the reason they've given.
-
The dim witted idea that a few tiny investments in more craft ale and bottled water can replace one of our few world class hi-tech industries employing over 100,000 skilled people. This isn’t a religious journey, evangelical fervour doesn’t answer basic questions.
-
Funny, because I never said that myself. I notice you also didn't answer my question about what I supposedly made up. Anyway, if you really think airbus is going to leave and pay out the fortune it would cost, then you're insane. It's simply an opportunistic money grabbing tactic
