increasingly obvious that if Brexit turns out badly the Brexiteers will blame the implementation and never, ever accept even a sliver of responsibility for the consequences

The consequences of implementing a democratic vote to be an independent nation state in charge of our own affairs? Because that would be a bad thing, right?

The consequences of implementing an advisory vote, based on promised false outcomes, illegal campaigning, and the gutting of our manufacturing sector do not have to be implemented; because this is a democracy.

We didn’t have the true facts/necessary info to allow us to make a reasoned decision. The referendum was like asking us to decide on the best treatment for a brain tumour. We had insufficient knowledge and information. Even worse we were lied to about the money.

“In charge of our own affairs” Like what ? Currency ? (Chose not to join the €) The Mile? (Still use it) Borders? (chose not to vet EU migrants) Fishing quotas? (Not enough Uk boats to fish our own waters)trade deals? (Didn’t bother doing much) Passport colour(Uk chose burgundy)

@JuliaHB1 - we have been and are an independent nation in charge of our own affairs. Your Brexit coup is the threat to our country's independence and will result in us being less in charge of our own affairs.

Not the implementation, the consequences. The results of implementing the vote result in its most extreme interpretation. Yes, very damaging. Therefore "bad". This isn't that hard.

When will people realise, it’s not ALL about money? Millions of Brits voted for democracy and sovereignty.

Yes, those of us who voted remain were part of those millions. The brexit ref was not about democracy and sovereignty, because UK already has those as a member of the EU. It was about nastier and darker things.

When it trashes the economy, creates a rise in xenophobia and hate crimes whilst diminishing Britain's position in the world then yes it's a bit of a bummer!

You don't get it, do you? We're long since past the rights and wrongs of Brexit, we're leaving, end of. But our Government is doing a really bad job of implementing it. No-one voted deliberately for incompetence, no-one.
