        Do not try to put this on the horse rider, who was riding perfectly correctly. Horses should be passed slowly and given a wide berth. These inconsiderate cyclists did not do that. Being on the back of a spooked horse is very scary,

        It's illegal to ride a horse on a footpath. Rider is correct, cyclists who undertook are wrong. The other cyclists are all okay. The road wasn't closed!

        Horse shoes are slippery on a smooth surface, besides which horses belong on bridle paths where available and on a road not on a path
