Some sympathy with this, but the hill on which I am willing to die is raging against the phrase "pan fried". It's just fried. You use a pan to fry stuff. To the people replying that “pan fried” distinguishes from deep fried: no, there’s fried and deep fried. Literally everybody knows what each means without adding “pan” for no good reason. It’s pseud nonsense.
