And all we get is sarcasm from Julia and @montie Don’t you see the @IsabelOakeshott back-peddling makes a mockery of the very democratic integrity at the heart of all this. We need you journos to help us the reader, the voter, make the informed judgements, not pervert them.

Is that the best you can do? Andrew is right - we do actually need proper journalists.

Yep, you’re quite right. I’ve got no real world experience, not in my comp, or the burger takeaway, many pubs or restaurants where I waitressed, or the firms I temped as a secretary for, or the bank office I cleaned, or as a news reporter on a local paper. None at all. Nil. Zilch

When did I suggest they did? Oh, ok, so only people who’ve worked in law or commerce should be allowed to vote then?

Honestly @OConolly , this has happened to me several times (incl. just now) - she just makes up/distorts what one has said and then goes into a rant response to a point that was never made. Best to ignore her - it's impossible to have a normal dialogue with her, really.

Sorry for replying to his tweet to address the direct point he made about me. What a silly thing to do! Oh, and please feel free to ignore me, Jessica. I have never tweeted you or about you except to reply to YOUR tweets to me. You’re getting a tad obsessed.

No, of course not. MPs voted to hold this referendum. It’s almost like we live in a parliamentary democracy, isn’t it? I have to sleep now. Night.
