A decreasing number would seem to share your view that a hard BREXIT is a good idea. Unlike you they might have to worry for their jobs.

I’m a freelance contractor, mate. I ALWAYS have to worry about my job.

And I suspect that your job security is completely unaffected by BREXIT

Wishful thinking!

utter nonsense, more fearmongering. Are you one of the many remainers that would rather Brexit fail, to say 'I told you so'. Brexit is about more than economics and trade, it's about being governed by an unelecte bureaucracy more than anything
-
'an unelected bureaucracy'??? As opposed to our system of a unelected, hereditary head of state, an unelected House of Lords full of divisive cronies, and a House of Commons whose elections are managed by the media! Claptrap!!!
-
In the EU, the unelected commission create laws, crutinised, but unable to amend, by the elected EU Parliament & Council of ministers, then become law. (in brief). I agree re: House of Lords, and agree we need an elected senate as a second chamber https://europa.eu/european-union/eu-law/decision-making/procedures_en …

Well 37% might be. The rest will be quite happy thank you
-
Regardless, 52% of those who voted, voted for Leave. You can't claim those who chose not to use their vote, or those ineligible to vote, as remainers.
-
Not Remainers, just don't knows/don't cares. 37% wanted to leave. If you're honest you'll admit a % of the 37% was a protest vote so the actual number who actively want to leave is somewhere south of 37%. Endlessly referring to this minority as 'the people' doesn't make it true
-
Ridiculous - if you don't use your vote you have no say and deserve no opinion on the result, regardless of your reason for not voting. The result was 52 to 48, as you well know.
-
Well you've turned my comment that only 37% of the electorate (at best) will be angry if Brexit isn't delivered - a logically robust argument - into something else altogether. You've ably demonstrated your reasoning powers and why you voted Leave.
-
So now apply the same bullshit to the 48%. What are you left with?
-
come on now, engage brain first. talking about caring if brexit is cancelled. all the 48% and the 'cant be bothered to vote' voters wont care when it's jibbed. therefore the majority of the 'general public' wont care, JUST south of 37% will. it's not that hard to understand.

Brexit is a bit dead, we can't resolve the contradictions, even if we just walk away the realities of the WTO will force us to rejoin. You don't have a plan. You won, suck it up.

Agreed, though was it ever really alive? My neighbour threatened to build a big wall a couple of years ago, he talked about it quite a bit, but I have yet to see any materials arrive to build it. I've come to the conclusion- he never really planned to build that wall you know!

Are you Mexico?
