Congrats Jeremy Hunt our long-serving Health Secretary. Since you've been in the job the number of people waiting more than four hours in A&E is up 842%, the number of people waiting over two weeks for urgent cancer treatment has more than doubled and the NHS has lost 7000 beds.

Yes, it’s hard to believe that the population of the U.K. has risen by 842% in just six years!

If there had been only 1 person waiting more than 4 hours six years ago and this last year there were 8 people waiting, then the number wating would have risen by 800%. Lies, more lies and damned statistics, eh?

It actually would have risen by 700%, but you’ve understood the point which is it’s ridiculous to make links without a clear understanding of the relative numbers.

Does Lammy serve any useful purpose? Apart from whining like car alarm at 2.00am.

I understand your thoughts on that point but it doesn’t stop me feeling that @Jeremy_Hunt is not doing enough to sort out basic issues within the NHS, that so many NHS employees know is wrong.

Thanks so much for your point. Does political dogma play a major part in NHS daily decision-making?

Hunt has been guzzling at the poison chalice of Health for so long that he's now immune. He banked £20 odd million a while back so doesn't need the salary. So he must actually be a masochist who likes the job

And yet spending on the NHS keeps going up under the Conservatives, even through the recession. So what’s going wrong? David Lammy fails to explain that. My guess is that it can only be incompetent management at all levels and by all parties.
