It’s almost as if no countries actually exist (and thrive) outside of the European Union. Apart from, oh, almost every sodding country in the entire world - including most of the G20. Get a grip.pic.twitter.com/hAT3Qadnoa

What do you think would happen to any of those “thriving” countries if they voluntarily terminated all their trade agreements and imposed tariff and non-tariff barriers on all trade routes at the same time? That’s what brexit is.
Did you read what @AntWadebridge said? "We do not have the infrastructure". Say it again: We. Do. Not. Have. The. Infrastructure. The other G20 countries DO have the infrastructure. That's how they manage to operate. You really do not have a clue, do you?
Er...missing the point. Those countries have not been part of a trading bloc for 40 years. We are set up to be part of the EU now. Dover cannot cope with us just leaving. We are a service industry heavy country and are losing the investment from business we would need to rebuild.
15 ? Remind me how many countries there are in the world ,but hey doesn't seem to bother leavers that we could be reduced to the level of Argentina or Mexico or Cambodia ,we want to go forward not backwards .
Ignore the elephant in the room - infrastructure. FFS! Do you not understand about exp/imp controls, customs clearance, duty etc? Clearly you don't which is why it's good the govt isn't listening to you.
But please measure on the basis of GDP/capita, not population - I suspect Norway is a lot more pleasant than Russia or Brazil? You are seriously misleading, and seriously wrong, I hope you are aware, but fear you are not.
We all thrive on debt
https://www.theatlas.com/charts/rkhOFk34b … In terms of GDP per capita, EU occupies 5 of the top 10 places, none of the bottom 10.
You sunk my battleship
And they are the ones most racked up with debt. Most have no natural resources and rely on knowledge and service sector. The competition that we will face to get contract will be tougher than most ppl think.
...and how many of them are going through a Brexit scenario and facing into a no deal cliff edge?
What nonsense. Some of those you refer to are in economic unions with neighbouring countries,in Asia,http://S.Am , etc...
Yes Julia, you are correct, 15 of the G20, all the emerging economies are are outside the EU, of the top 10 universities in the world 5 are American, 4 are British and one is Swiss, from the EU zero! The story goes on and on, we really do need to LEAVE completely!
All of which are part of a regional free trade area.
So 25% of the Great 20, bearing in mind there are 195 countries (depending on interpretation) are in the EU.
Er, which of those 15 countries is now or ever has been in a position comparable to the shitfight of jingoistic incompetence that the UK will find itself in the day after Brexit? I'm as sorry as anyone but there just isn't the leadership or the public will to pull this off.
funny how all those who so bullish about UK's prospects are also those with least command of the subject of trade.
Those G20 members that thrive outside the EU were clearly not engineered to be a member of it - as the UK has been. So the point is how would the UK fare on its own? Nobody knows because that set of trade arrangements does not exist. Not even under construction. A void.
Your point is completely irrelevant and you know it. We don’t have the infrastructure in place for the immediate aftermath of a No-Deal scenario. Although in that nightmare situation I’m sure you’d just blame the “remoaners” anyway Julie you mare
