Actually, it’s got everything to do with everyone living in a free and democratic society where women aren’t subjected to medieval practices.

So state banning of an item of clothing is an example of a free and democratic society? I agree that women (and men) should be able to wear what they want. That extends to the state not also preventing them from doing what they want.

I had my Donegal tweed cap on and went in to the foreign exch in Hammersmith broadway to get some Euros and the Pakistani man told me to take it off as he said cant see me properly. Woman behind had full face covering ... Silence was deafening
