andrejpwalker , stuck in your ivory tower somewhere, spouting bollocks from a safe distance. Reality is thousands of kids are being abused and everyone should know. This has been covered up for decades. As @JuliaHB1 said, she retweeted, so jog on.

Then perhaps when RTing it would have been useful to clarify that he was arrested for breaching conditions of a suspended sentence, which he was repeatedly warned about, and possibly giving grounds for unfair trial claim. Simply RTing implies agreement.
-
The main point being made here was why was it ok for media, and mainstream in particular, to cover the case of, say, Gary Glitter? Who was accused, and subsequently convicted of similar crimes. If reporting is not allowed, then every journalist must abide by that rule. No?
-
Reporting restrictions are put in place for differing reasons and I agree it doesn't always make sense. However, the main point it seems to me from the RTd post is that TR was singled out. He knew he was already under warning for breach of conditions but went ahead anyway.
-
Surely anyone looking without bias would see that he quite clearly has been singled out, by the simple fact other journalists haven’t been arrested for reporting on similar cases. It’s an embarrassment to our country that it’s even a crime for reporting these issues.
-
Reporting a case is being heard isn't a crime, subject to any conditions the court imposes. TR was filming people going in/out of the court. He was asked to stop. He didn't. I didn't see it but if he made any comments that could prejudice the trial, that is contempt of court.
-
As far as I’m aware it’s not illegal to stand outside the court and film on a mobile phone. The only way he’d be in contempt of court or prejudice the trial, is if he had of been on court property. Live stream was approx 1 hour long, and he clearly did not go onto court property.
-
He was told turning up at court, & publication of material during an ongoing trial cld result in revoke of suspended sentence. He livestreamed. It's your right to support his free speech. It's my right to support the victims who would have to endure any problems caused by him.
