Thanx I’ve been through a couple of these fires myself. But I just can’t imagine being 95 and losing everything. They don’t use technology except for emails, so they wouldn’t know to do a check in. And if safe more likely at a hotel than evacuation center. Hopefully tomorrow

How many friends of your siblings have you been able to connect within and neighboring the area before power was disrupted?

They are my aunt and uncle. Being in Montana I didn’t learn of the fire until it had blown up. By then contact was impossible. 95 year olds rarely have cell phones unfortunately.

It's unfortunate that distress message recordings or updates can't be made on a large scale of a disaster this big on evacuations to love one's for the elderly in general - etc..
