The 2020 top tier largely passed on New Hampshire last month to campaign in Iowa. Other than Buttigieg, most of the candidates in the top tier had five or fewer January events in the state. Biden had two public NH campaign events last month.

For all the time and money spent on Iowa this cycle, the lack of results tonight make NH’s straightforward, traditional secret ballot vote next week all the more important.

In other 2020 news - Tulsi Gabbard is skipping IA caucus & focusing on NH. She says she’ll also skip SOTU to be in NH tomoro. And she defend not releasing ANY campaign policy plans: “I think the most important thing is having the vision for what we are trying to accomplish.”
