I'd like to see video of the 20-30 minutes prior to the "viral" video recording. Bet most would have a much different view of this "story".

...that said, this is all on United for bumping paying customers for non flight crew employees to begin with.

The airline industry and TSA have used the lame excuse of 9/11 to create this dictatorship. The bill of rights does not apply past security.
-
No, this is just poor UA management and policy.
-
It is beyond UA. You can't speak up in an airport. You will be kicked out and jailed. Try refusing to obey an order, you'll see.

If they asked him to get off the plane, get off the plane. Don't act like a spoiled brat.

Yes United was only thinking of the money not their customers
-
If they were only thinking of the money they wouldn't replace them with non revenue employees
-
It was my understanding they had to get a crew to Kentucky. Think of all the passengers with no crew to fly the plane

At first, I was outraged, until the facts were presented. Nonetheless, it was bad for everyone involved.

Do you take personal responsibility for these Neadnerthal emissaries? Operational functionality at all cost? Including mayhem?
-
If airlines must, occasionally, place deadhead crew aboard, perhaps they should be required to reserve 4 seats & fill them only with standby
