UPDATE: @KPMG tells http://popular.info  that it "is imposing a moratorium on contributions to Members of Congress who supported objections to state certifications of the 2020 presidential election results"https://popular.info/p/three-major-corporations-say-they …

This is particularly significant. KPMG is one of the top corporate donors to this group. It's contributed over 700K to Republicans that objected to the certification in the last 6 years. Sign up to the newsletter for updates and accountability journalismhttp://popular.info/subscribe

How about severing all ties with politicians caught up in sedition vs. putting a hold on contributions until ppl conveniently forget. Doesn’t bode well for CDI programs (or democracy).

I bet Congress would be much less corrupt if they stopped getting corporate donations entirely. The lobbying effort is where politicians become corrupted. Our elected officials are not there for personal enrichment, yet that is what happens; they all become filthy rich.

"Moratorium"?? Congressman may be correct. Businesses may try to ride out the heat & come back guitely after heat dies down. These companies do not care abt the country. Its 💰 that floats their boat.

'the moratorium will last until about 9 months before the 2022 mid-term elections. At that point we will dangle larger than normal contributions in order to maximize our return on investment.'

Afraid you're correct. If they don't stop this, those corporations will within 2 years be told what their new rules are by the fascists. They will have to tithe 10% of profits at first.

A moral corporation would permanently sever all ties with those who promote insurrection and the Big Lie, and actively support their ideological opponents in future elections.
