Facebook told me "we’re always looking to improve our enforcement, which is never perfect" The company acknowledges that the ads were "subject to Facebook's ad review system, which relies primarily on automated tools to check ads against these policies"https://popular.info/p/trump-campaign-running-hundreds-of …

Facebook had $15 BILLION in revenue last quarter and has well over 35,000 employees. I'm just one dude on my couch with bad allergies and I've identified hundreds of Trump campaign ads that blatantly violate their rules https://popular.info/p/trump-campaign-running-hundreds-of …pic.twitter.com/xrDT0eK0Bj

Why tf does is take a non-Facebook employee conducting oversight on their own time to effect a change. Smdh, Facebook is the worst.

The Trump Campaign (Donald J Trump Inc.) and the Trump Make America Great Again Committee are both running the same ads via Trump's FB page. Isn't that some sort of illegal campaign coordination?

The rule seems more about keeping Facebook users from being creeped out by the reality of FB's targeting options than about ethical motives, but it's still nice to see someone finally enforce their rules against Trump. (Next up:
@Twitter? Yeah, probs not) -
That's actually the more generous reading of how a rule like that gets made - the other scenario I can envision is some product manager with "IDENTITY POLITICS" written on a whiteboard under "Problems"
