By asking "where are they now" he was asking about ISIS.. Obviously he was talking about refugees and their home return!

Oh the ISIS part was covered early on. And for a skilled communicator like Trump he could have said “where is ISIS now?” Or perhaps clarified “not your family, i meant ISIS.” Surreal interaction all in all.
