Nonvoters are disproportionately poorer, & nonwhite, than voters. Especially in primaries but it is true in the general as well. Disaffection with both parties is a deep issue that cannot be explained away by privilege. Engaging, not shaming nonvoters is the smarter move rn.

Not talking about non-voters, and you are absolute right about them. These are VOTERS who are saying that because Sanders was not able to garner enough support to get the nomination, they are voting Green or BECOMING non-voters. Very different thing.

Well here is realty. No one is going to kneel. Those who get the danger of Trumpism are going to vote & find enough fellow voters committed to doing the right thing. The danger to living, breathing people is real. Most don't have the luxury to pout over their preferred candidate.

Trump has 40% of voters. Of the remaining 60%, if more than 4/6 of them don’t vote for the same nominee, trump wins re-election. That’s why voting for third party is a vote for trump.

Exactly right. Their interest isn't in policies that will help people, but in ensuring they are recognises as the powerful, important people.

The fact that he is not Trump does not erase his record. I respect Bernie, but Biden has to earn my vote. Own up to the mistakes in his record and embrace progressive policies. Help level the playing field for people other than his big donors.

It's the same reason Trump became President, because of voters who didn't care what happened to other people and who were always asking "what about me?" But it's that vain self-importance that undermines us again and again, giving us a vain, self-important clown for President.
