Truthfully, coming to this conclusion now and not many years ago, leaves me SMFH. Just the horrible, systematic gerrymandering to stop African Americans from voting, she should have left the party. How could she stay and condone it for so long?

The GOP has been on course since Nixon. Anyone who supported that party during that time enabled the effort that resulted in our current condition. How could an “educated” person let the wool be pulled over their eyes like that?

Let me extend the argument. Trump is the embodiment of evil. He believes the ends justify the means. His methods are ruthless and unlawful - even “taking out Soleimani” - but are his results still the goals of non trump republicans? Do they just want those things done better?

When it's no longer cool to be a Republican in public because they put to much of their beliefs out in the open for everyone to see. I'm sure if they kept everything how it used to be in secret they would still be Republicans. Being a Republican is socially Inconvenient.
