I just learned that Yang's "UBI" is $2,000 for the entire year, in NYC. While cutting homeless services, and funding more cops. This man must be joking.

Just to clarify, giving the 500,000 lowest income New Yorkers a check for $2,000 would, in isolation, be a great thing. But instead of cutting it from, say, the NYPD, he's planning to cut from the exact services these folks need! And he's calling it UBI, when it's simply not.
