The United States is not doing itself a favor by ensuring people are constantly working. I hope to increase paid leave once in the NY state Senate, and I look forward to seeing what you do on a federal level!
For some, holidays are the only time they get off work. For others, the only time they get a break is if they get injured or laid off. Everyone deserves at least 15 weeks of paid leave per year for vacations, sickness, & family leave. We need a healthier work/life balance.

What are your thoughts on normalizing 4 day/ 32 hr work weeks instead of today's 5 day/ 40 hour model? (At $15/hr minimum wage ofc)

You should sit back and observe what it takes to create a truly great economy. You’re speaking from your own limited inexperience. Most employment has a structured vacation, holiday, and emergency time off programs.

Most employment? Not fast food workers. Not uber drivers. Not independent contractors. Not telemarketers. Not truck drivers. Not waiters and food service. What economy do you live in where “most employment” doesn’t include all these people?
