I was severely abused as a child. I told several adults in my life & wasn't believed. So I stopped telling adults for years. Then I told one more adult when I was 14 & she believed me. I'll always believe survivors. I don't want to be like the adults who wouldn't believe me.

Same experience as a kid. Thanks for sharing your story. No one believed me til I was 18. No child should live a life of pain, fear, loneliness and betrayal. It becomes part of our DNA.

Im sorry it happened, it must have been so disheartening to love not only throughout the abuse but also the apathy and disbelief of the trusted adults. I'm sorry again and hope you are doing better
